  ERNEST E. HOFFMAN
  
    Ernest E. Hoffman, 72, Salisbury, died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 19,
  1972.
    Born in Elk Lick Township, he was a son of the late Charles and Matilda
  (Meese) Hoffman.  Mr. Hoffman was a member of St. John's United Church of
  Christ, Salisbury, and had been a lifelong farmer.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel V. Broadwater of Memphis, Tenn.;
  a daughter, Mrs. Helen Ickes, Salisbury; four grandchildren and a sister,
  Mrs. Florence Shultz, Pittsburgh.
    Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Thomas Funeral Home,
  Salisbury, with Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh officiating.  Interment in
  Salisbury Cemetery.
