Hoffman, 63, of Somerset RD 3, died Feb. 2, 1975 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1911 in Somerset County, a son of the late Elmer E. and Jennie Fisher Hoffman. He was also preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Survived by a stepmother, the former June Nair, by his wife, the former Ruth Fritz and these children; Dean F. of Somerset; Carl B. of Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. Terry (Marian) Gahring of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Terry L. of Somerset RD 5; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and two step-grandchildren. A brother of Elbert, Mrs. Charles Ash, Elmer, Eugene, Mrs. Conrad Kelly, Paul and Kenneth all of Somerset; Perry of Rockwood; two half-sisters, Mrs. Donald Miller of Texas, and Mrs. Robert Miller of Sipesville; and a half-brother Roger Hoffman of Morgantown, W.Va. Member of St. John's United Church of Edie, UMWA and was a retiree of PennDOT. Friends are being received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Paul Scruton officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Somerset American, February 4, 1975 [H1272]
