Hoffman, 96, Somerset, died Dec. 1, 2004, at Somerset Hospital. Born June 12, 1908, in Somerset Township. Daughter of Norman and Clara (Barron) Barron. Preceded in death by parents, husband Roy H., sister Ethel Baer, and half-brother Sheldon Barron. Survived by these daughters, Dolores, married to Charles R. Deaner, Stoystown, Dorene 'Sis', married to Robert J. Murray, and Carol Lee, married to William C. Rhodes, both of Somerset, and Celine, married to Thomas L. Horner, Thomas Mills, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandhildren. A 1927 graduate of Somerset High School. Longtime employee of the former McCrory's, Somerset. Member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Lavansville, where she was financial secretary for more than 40 years and a long-time Sunday school teacher. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Lavansville. The Rev. Elisa Osman officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
