  KATHRYN HOFFMAN
  
    Kathryn "Katie" (Kaufman) Hoffman, 88, Boswell RD 2, formerly of
  Davidsville, died unexpectedly April 2, 1993, at home.  Born Sept. 22,
  1904, in Conemaugh Township, daughter of John M. and Elizabeth (Shaffer)
  Kaufman.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles L., Oct. 12, 1983;
  sisters-Luella Berkey, Edna Miltenberger and Grace, and brothers-Leon W.,
  the Rev. Ralph E. and the Rev. Martin L.  Sister of Mary Knesche, Erma May,
  Hazel Mishler, Mildred Liska, John H., married to Marjorie Lantz, and James
  W., married to Lillian Binnie, all of Boswell RD 2; Daisy Kocher,
  Johnstown, and Harry F., married to Yvonne Heckler, Lakewood, N.J.  Also
  numerous nieces and nephews.  Member of Jennerstown United Methodist
  Church, where she formerly taught Sunday school.  Manager of former Lords
  Dress Shop, Johnstown, for 25 years.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to
  9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  Viewing
  also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jennerstown
  U.M. Church, the Rev. John R. Guerre and the Rev. Paul H. Scruton
  officiating.  Interment, Lutheran Cemetery, Jennerstown.
