Hoffman, 80, Berlin RD 4, died June 2, 1973, in Somerset Community Hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1892, in Brothersvalley Township, the daughter of the late John L. and Ida (Brant) Sevits. Preceded in death by her husband, Clayton J., in March, 1971, and five brothers and sisters. Survived by these children: Mrs. Clyde (Olive) Hoffman, Greensburg; Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Heffley, Berlin; Mrs. Fleming (Nora) Casebeer, Somerset; Floyd S., with whom she resided; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was a sister of: Mrs. Jay (Mildred) Musser, Berlin RD; Mrs. Cyrus (Nora) Brant, Somerset. She was a member of the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren. clipping [H1301] Added by Myersdale Library staff: Friends are being received at the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin, until noon Tuesday. Mrs. Hoffman will be removed to the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren to lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m., the hour of the service. The Rev. Kenneth Blough will officiate.
