Hoffman, 83, of Friedens, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 12, 2003 at Somerset Hospital. Born Dec. 10, 1919 in Robinson, the daughter of the late William and Ella Mae (Lewis) Coley. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Hoffman in 1982; infant daughter, Jane; son, Glenn; sister, Dona Lambert; brothers, Dean and Bobe Coley; and daughter-in-law Virginia (Green) Hoffman. Survived by grandchildren: Darlene, married to Rodney Brant, Joyce, married to Kenneth Barron and Michael, married to Pamela Hoffman, all of Somerset, Tina Kaufman, Jennifer Hoffman and Timothy Hoffman, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Genevieve Hoffman of Garrett and is the sister of Elnora Flick of Akron, Ohio, William Coley of Mechanicsburg, Rev. C.D. Coley of Kearneysville, Va., Clair Coley of Chardon, Ohio, Florine Reckner of Rochester and Jay Coley of Tennessee. She was a loving person who cared for many members of the Coley and Hoffman families. She was a member of the Somerset Church of God where she was involved in many capacities over the years. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time in Florida. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Somerset Church of God. Rev. M.D. Herring officiating. Interment in Sipesville Cemetery.
