  HOFFMAN
  
    Ruth Gladys Hoffman, 91, of Patriot Manor, formerly of Edie, passed away
  on May 4, 2002, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Oct. 8, 1910 in Lincoln
  Township, daughter of the late Charles and Ella Catherine (Smith) Darr. 
  Preceded in death by husband Alton G. Hoffman in 1971; daughter Alice Jean
  Hoffman; sisters Erma Smucker, Besse Gashaw, Mary Walker and Ellen Pauline
  Darr; and brothers, Frederick, J. Edward, and Clyde Darr.  Survived by
  daughter, Carol Moore of Edie, and son George, married to Judy Hoffman of
  Markleton; also grandchildren Daniel, married to Dana (Lucas) Hoffman, Dana
  Eric, married to Kirstin (Gursky) Hoffman, and Rebecca Jo (Hoffman), married
  to Aaron Yoder; and great-grandchildren Samantha and Daniel (II) Hoffman,
  Kylie Yoder and Ciera Sarver.  Member of the Sipesville Church of the
  Brethren and previously served as a deaconess at the Somerset Church of the
  Brethren.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.  A service will be held at 1
  p.m. Wednesday at the Sipesville church.  Rev. Danny Bailey officiating. 
  Interment, Sipesville Cemetery.  There will be one hour of visitation prior
  to the service.
