Born Oct. 8, 1910 in Lincoln Township, daughter of the late Charles and Ella Catherine (Smith) Darr. Preceded in death by husband Alton G. Hoffman in 1971; daughter Alice Jean Hoffman; sisters Erma Smucker, Besse Gashaw, Mary Walker and Ellen Pauline Darr; and brothers, Frederick, J. Edward, and Clyde Darr. Survived by daughter, Carol Moore of Edie, and son George, married to Judy Hoffman of Markleton; also grandchildren Daniel, married to Dana (Lucas) Hoffman, Dana Eric, married to Kirstin (Gursky) Hoffman, and Rebecca Jo (Hoffman), married to Aaron Yoder; and great-grandchildren Samantha and Daniel (II) Hoffman, Kylie Yoder and Ciera Sarver. Member of the Sipesville Church of the Brethren and previously served as a deaconess at the Somerset Church of the Brethren. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Sipesville church. Rev.
