Pleasant, Tuesday morning. He was born Oct. 16, 1917 in Mt. Pleasant Twp. the son of Wade S. and Emma Schweiger Hoke. Member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Donegal and was a graduate of Hurst High School, Class of 1935. He was a Nationwide Insurance agent for the past 18 years. Survived by his wife Wilma Mognet Hoke; a stepmother, Julia Frederick Hoke; a son Leon, Jr., at home; a daughter Mrs. Michael (Judith H.) Roarty, Tampa, Fla.; five brothers, M. Wade of Camphill, Harrold H., Vernon E. and Donald D. all of Acme, and Sanford W. Brothers of Mt. Pleasant RD 4; three sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Artiegale) White, Acme; Mrs. Clyde (Louis H.) Bitner, Detroit, Mich. and Mrs. Edward (Ruby) Briner, Acme. Friends will be received beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Eugene G. Saloom Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday by his pastor the Rev. Raymond E. Hausele. Interment will follow in the Greenridge Memorial Park. Somerset Bulletin, May 8, 1974 [H1330]
