    Donald G. Holder, 78, of Berlin, formerly of Stoystown RD, died Nov. 24,
  2000 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.  Born July 11, 1922 in Jenner
  Township, son of John I. and Viola G. (Friedline) Holder.  Preceded in
  death by father, infant brother Kenneth and brother Dean.  Survived by
  mother, Somerset; wife of 54 years the former Sarah Jane Shaffer; sons,
  Donald Paul Holder Sr. and wife Camille, Chicago, Ill., and David E. Holder
  and wife Kathy, Stoystown RD; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Donald Jr.,
  Don and Patrick; three great-grandchildren; brother, Valgene married to
  Pauline O'Connor, Clearwater, Fla., and sisters-in-law, Iona Holder,
  Hollsopple RD, and Louise Shaffer, Cumberland, Md.  Attended the former
  Boswell High School.  Member of the USWA.  U.S. Air Force veteran of World
  War II.  Attended Laurel Mountain Grace Brethren Church, Jennerstown. 
  Retired employee of the 46-inch Mill, former Johnstown plant, Bethlehem
  Steel with 36 years service.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell where service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. Michael Govey officiating.  Interment,
  United Church of Christ Cemetery, Jennerstown.
