Cyrus Holiday, aged 49 years, 10 days, died Jan. 6th, in the Wenzel Hospital, Meyersdale, after suffering for some time with cancer of the stomach. He was married to Ruth Miller, daughter of the late Elder Samuel Miller. To this union were born nine children. One daughter died several years ago. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Gilbert Fike, Ohio; Mrs. Harry Tissue, Strawn, Pa.; Glenn, Irene, Mark, Ross and Ruth, at home. He is also survived by the following brothers and sister: Mrs. Silas Wiley, Ohio; Leroy, of Confluence, and Harry, of Somerfield. Mr. Holiday lived for many years near Addison, Pa., where he reared his family. He was an active lumberman for a number of years. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 9th, in the Accident Church of the Brethren. Rev. A. D. Scrogum conducted the services. Interment in the Accident Brethren Cemetery.
