Tuesday, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Holiday, who some months ago moved from Negro Mountain to Salisbury. The family has been in dire distress for some time, and dependent to a great extent upon such assistance as the community and individuals have been giving them. Susan was badly injured some years ago, when she was the victim of a coasting accident, which made her a cripple for the remainder of her life. In addition to that, she suffered intensely at times from an inward goitre, or some trouble akin to that malady, which poisoned her entire system. In spite of her physical handicaps, however, she always did such work as she was able to do, and was doing some work for Mrs. Mary Wetmiller only a day or two before she died. Deceased is survived by three sisters and two brothers, and also by her parents. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, and the funeral service was held at the Salisbury church of that denomination, this (Thursday) afternoon. The writer leaving town to help in the editorial office of this paper soon after learning of Miss Holiday's death, learned no further particulars about it. Meyersdale Republican, June 9, 1932
