HOLLER Joseph Archie Holler died in the Allegany Hospital in Cumberland, Md., at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, of coronary occlusion. He had been in poor health for some time, and had been removed to the hospital on the preceding Thursday evening, where he became steadily worse. Mr. Holler was born in Bedford County on March 6, 1884, a son of Mary Elizabeth (Steel) and Newton Holler and was 65 years, 2 months and 29 days old at his passing. He was married to the former Miss Margaret Wellington, who survives him. He was employed for a number of years as road construction worker in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and was a member of the Hod Carriers Union in Boynton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Albert, Millerstown; Jack and James of Boynton and Kenneth, in the U.S. Army at Camp Kilmer, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Baer, Turtle Creek, and Mrs. Samuel Ferrario, Boynton; Two brothers Sidney and Harlen Holler of Boynton; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Critchfield, Mrs. Elizabeth Hillegas and Mrs. Veta May, all of Boynton, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Hillegas in Boynton at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with the Rev. Lloyd M. McKinley, pastor of the Salisbury and Meyersdale Methodist churches, officiating. Interment in the IOOF Cemetery in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, June 9, 1949
