He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Addison Township, a son of the late Albert and Jeanette (Camp) Holliday. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wives, Vilda (Nicholson) Holliday and Virginia (Sliger) Holliday; brothers, Edgar, Sylvester, Frederick, James Herbert, and Freeman; sisters, Evelyn Pyle and Viola Blocher. He is survived by eight children; 22 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; a brother, Victor Holliday, Grantsville, Md., sisters, Irene Hussey, Orange County, Calif.; Dorothy Sausman, Confluence and a former wife, Alice Novak, Florida. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and lifetime member of Confluence VFW Post 7250. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment to follow in Silbaugh Cemetery.
