Holliday, 74, of Grantsville, Md., died Thursday, March 5, 1987, in his home. Born in Cove, Md., Aug. 5, 1912, he was the son of the late Judson and Mary (Georg) Holliday. He was retired from the H&H Hardware Store. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, Grantsville Rotary Club and former mayor of Grantsville, Md. Surviving are his widow, Evelyn H. (Humbertson) Holliday; one son, Frederick A. Holliday, Grantsville, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Eva Lou Harman, Accident, Md.; two brothers, Raymond Holliday, Port Richey, Fla., and Richard Holliday, Dunedin, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. June Jeffries and Martha Holliday, both of Addison, and five grandchildren. Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. where services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Powell Hall. Interment, Addison Cemetery.
