He was born September 7, 1910 in Listonburg, son of the late Albert and Jeannette (Camp) Holliday. A former clay miner, he was a member of the Silbaugh United Methodist Church in Fort Hill. He is survived by his widow, Helen (Firle) Holliday; three sons: Robert Holliday, Phillipsburg, N.J.; Thomas Holliday, West Salisbury; and Kenneth Holliday, Grantsville, MD.; three daughters: Rose Marie Barnard, Frederick, MD; Wanda Folk and Emily Spiker, both of Grantsville, MD; three brothers: Freeman Holliday and Delbert Holliday, both of Fort Hill; and Victor Holliday, Grantsville, MD; four sisters: Evanelle Pyle, Somerset; Irene Hussy, Orange, Calif.; Vi Blocher, Springs; and Ruth Sausman, Addison; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, MD, where services were conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Joseph Lewis. Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery at Fort Hill.
