Born March 20, 1917, in Listonburg, he was the son of the late Albert Lawrence and Jeannette (Camp) Holliday. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Edgar, Fred, Freeman, Sylvester, Delbert and James; two sisters, Evanell Vogel Pyle and Viola Blocher; and one granddaughter, Beverly. He is survived by his wife, Cleda Joyce (Walls) Holliday; three sons, William (Linda) Holliday, Confluence; Roy (Debbie) Holliday and Gary (Marilyn) Holliday, all of Grantsville; seven daughters, Mabel (Delmas) Yoder, Springs; Brenda Dolan, Accident, Md.; Joyce Lapp; Karen (Randy) Green; Dolores Lapp; Susie Holliday and Ginny (Danny) Keller, all of Grantsville; two sisters, Irene Hussey, Orange, Calif.; Ruth Sausman, Confluence; 21 grand- children; and 32 great-grandchildren. Mr. Holliday was employed by Local 616 in roads construction. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Thomas Twigg officiating. Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion.
