  HOLMES
  
    Gregory L. Holmes, 54, Glade Mountain Road, Elk Lick Township, died July
  25 at Somerset Hospital.  Born May 14, 1946 in Sharon, a son of the late
  James T. and Dorothy J. (Gregory) Abernathy [sic].  In addition to his parents,
  preceded in death by brother Gary K. Holmes.  Survived by sister, Jean K.
  Holmes, nephews and cousins.  U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea.  A
  member of Confluence VFW Post 7250 and Turkeyfoot Fish and Game
  Association.  Retired from the Irvin Works of U.S. Steel after 30 years of
  employment.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until
  11 a.m., the hour of service Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence.  Rev. Ronald Thomas officiating.  Interment, Round Hill
  Cemetery, Clairton.
