Born Dec. 18, 1919, in Hooversville, son of John and Mary (Bena) Holpit. Preceded in death by parents, and one grandson. Survived by his wife, the former Pearl Toth, two daughters: Mrs. Georgianna Stanko, and Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Tomko, both of Hooversville; also seven grandchildren. A brother of Mrs. Anna Scrofani of Long Island, N.Y.; and Mrs. Morris (Mary) Shullman of Lilly. Was a retired driver for M. Glosser and Sons, member of Hooversville, Windber and Jennen Rod and Gun clubs. Family received friends Sunday evening and will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Paul Soucek officiating. Interment, POS of A. Cemetery, Hooversville.
