Holsopple, 66, of Rising Sun, Md., died June 21, 2006, at home. Born Dec. 25, 1939, in Paint Township, Somerset County. Son of Harold M. and Edythe (Mitchell) Holsopple. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert and sister, Ruth Burkett. Survived by wife, the former Gloria Jean Hobbs, whom he was married to for 38 years; these children: Randy, California, and Jacqueline and James H. both of Maryland; and three grand-children, Alyssa, Kayla and J.T. Brother of Kenneth, married to the former Ruth Martell, Mercer; Donald, married to the former Barbara Diehl, Georgia; and Barbara, wife of Jacob Lubas, Hollsopple. He was a member of St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church. Graduate of Conemaugh Township High School, class of 1957. He was a Navy veteran serving from 1959 to 1960, and he served with the Sea Bees. He retired from I.A. Corp. as a construction foreman. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union. Will be sadly missed by family and friends. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Gerald Myers. Interment Custer Cemetery.
