Born Jan 19, 1930 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, son of Cyril and Carrie Yoder Holsopple. Survived by his parents of Hollsopple RD 2; his wife, the former Eileen Marshall; and these children: Leslie Keith, Ronald Kevin, Mary Kathleen, Karen Beth and Vaughn Richard, all at home. He was the brother of: Annabelle, wife of William Drenner of Hollsopple RD 2; Twila, wife of Donald Unger of Johnstown RD 4; Mildred, wife of Harley Holsopple of Davidsville; Ronald, married to the former Helen Ream of Boswell; 1st Sgt. Wayne, married to the former Elsie Smith of Early Branch, S.C.; Shirley, wife of Foster Allen of Bladensburg, Md.; and Staff Sgt. Allen, married to the former Billie Jo Meyers of Alaska. He was preceded in death by a brother Sheldon who died in 1964. He was a member of the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, the F & AM Lodge 374 and an Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, both of Columbia, S.C.; and the Oriental Commandery No. 61 Knights Templar, the Portage Arts Chapter 195, and the Cambria Council No. 32 R & SM, all of Johnstown. He also was a member of the Hooversville Fire Co. He retired from the U.S. Armed Services Feb. 1, 1968 with 20 years service and was employed as a heavy equipment operator with New Enterprise.
