Holsopple, 91, Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, died Feb. 25, 2008, at the home. Born May 7, 1916, in Paint Township, the son of Josiah J. and Amanda (Manges) Holsopple. Preceded in death by parents, four infant siblings, six brothers, three sisters, and grandsons, Russell Barron and Brian Bassett. Survived by wife of 68 years, the former Kathleen Naugle; and these children, Eleanor, Falls Church, Va.; Linda, married to Ralph Bassett, Hooversville; Virginia, married to Herb Barron, Stoystown; Stanley and wife, Pam, Erie; and Thomas, Rhinebeck, N.Y. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Holsopple; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hooversville. He was a coal miner, steel worker and a self-employed truck driver. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church. Krista Vingelis and Warren Lewis, pastors, officiating. Interment, St. Thomas Cemetery.
