      John William Holt, 82, Marge Lane, Somerset, died Aug. 1, 1998,
  at Patriot Manor, Somerset.  Born Aug. 27, 1915, in Marion Center,
  Indiana County, son of Carl William and Lottie Bell (Bahme) Holt. 
  Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Donald and Raymond Holt and
  sister Miriam E. Zeigler.  Survived by his wife, the former Martha
  Lucille Shaulis, to whom he was married for 57 years and these
  children:  Denis B. Holt, married to the former Janice Bessinger,
  Levittown, Pa.; and Mrs. Wesley (Tomalee) Winkleman, Rome, Ga.; six
  grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  Brother of Mrs. Genevieve
  Milliken, Somerset; Mrs. Clarice M. Bittner, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Edgar
  (Harriet) Barkman, Shanksville; Robert C. Holt, Somerset; Guy E.
  Holt, Somerset, and Mrs. James (Alice) Schrock, Rockwood.  A 1935
  graduate of Somerset High School, U.S. Army veteran of World War II,
  101st Airborne.  Retired in 1977 from shipping department of U.S.
  Steel Corp., Fairless Hill Works.  Member of Grace United Methodist
  Church; Amwell Lodge #12 F&AM, Lambertville, N.J.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home, Somerset.  Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, at
  Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Charles F.
  Olson officiating.  Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
