All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ MARGARET ELAINE HOLT Margaret Elaine Holt, 18-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Holt, died at the home of her parents in Addison Township on Friday, May 13th, after an illness of over eight months, the past three weeks of which she was confined to her bed. Miss Holt was born on March 2, 1914, near Fair Oak, in Lower Turkeyfoot Township, and was aged 18 years, 2 months and 11 days. She was a daughter of Thomas and Ellen Holt, both of whom survive. Surviving also are eight brothers and three sisters, as follows: Charles C. Holt, Wilpin; Joseph H. Holt, at home; John B. Holt, Moron, Wyo.; George V. Holt, Thomas Holt, Jr., James M. Holt, Roy A. Holt, Arthur E. Holt, all at home; Mrs. Harry (Violet) Musgrove, Brinkerton; Mrs. Theodore (Ethel) Lester, Addison Township and Miss Olive Holt, Meyersdale. Three sisters preceded her to the grave. Margaret E. Holt was a member of the Evangelical Church and Sunday School at Harnedsville. Funeral services were held in the Evangelical Church at Harnedsville at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 15th, Rev. W. M. Minerd, pastor of the church, officiating. The pallbearers were Charles and Melvin Gillenberger, Victor, Morris and Ward McClintock and Melvin Keslar. Interment in Ursina Cemetery, under direction of Charles B. Humbert. Among those who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Cochrane, Chartiers; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Cochrane, New Centerville; Mrs. David White, Mrs. Alice Wagner and Walter King, Connellsville; Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Holt and three children, Wilpin; Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Mitchell, Terra Alta, W.Va.; Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Wall and son, Ira, Johnstown, and Miss Olive Holt, Meyersdale.
