Born May 10, 1912 in Eleersy, Md., a son of the late Thomas Henry and Ella Barbara (Fairbanks) Holt. Survived by his wife, Virgie Kiddy Holt; 3 sons, Thomas Arthur Holt of Kershaw, Robert Holt and Ronald Holt both of rock Hill; 2 daughters, Barbara Ann Ochoa of Central, S.C., and Janice Louise Shrader of Fort Lawn; 2 brothers, Arthur Holt and Roy Holt, both of Somerset; a sister, Olive Darrah of Meyersdale; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Member of the El Bethel Methodist Church and was a retired coal miner. Visitation was held Sunday at the Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel and at other times from the home, 1346 Fincher Road, Fort Lawn. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at the El Bethel Methodist Church. Rev. Pam Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in the El Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family suggest that memorials be sent to the El Bethel Methodist Church Love Fund, 3462 Catawba River Road, Fort Lawn, S.C. The Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster Chapel is serving the Holt family.
