Holyfield, 43, Markleton RD 1, died Nov. 14, 1984, in Clearfield County. Born Sept. 6, 1941, in Wise, Va., a son of the late Theodore Holyfield. Survived by his mother, Joanne (Osborne) Holyfield Charles, Jenkins, Ky. Preceded in death by his father and brother, John. Also survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Lita Aukerman; two children, Patricia and Jeffrey, both at home, and two sisters Mrs. Michael Skotnicki, Ecorse, Mich., and Mrs. Alvin Spangler, Whitesburg, Ky. He was an independent owner-operator and his truck was leased to Patriot Transport Division of St. Johnsburg Trucking Co, Vt., where he received a 20 years safe driver award. He was a member of the Somerset County Truckers Association, a Vietnam War veteran who served with the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member of the Confluence Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home.
