    Carol L. Homa, 64, Cairnbrook, died Oct. 30, 2000 at Somerset Hospital. 
  Born June 13, 1926 in Shade Township, the daughter of the late John and
  Florence (Holsopple) Shaffer.  Survived by husband of 43 years, Steve;
  daughter, Stephanie, wife of William Zubek, Cairnbrook; son, Steven,
  married to the former Rochelle Petro, Berlin; grandchildren, Shannon,
  Lauren, Bill and Kristen Zubek and Steve Homa Jr.; sister, Donna, wife of
  Larry Kasnick, Cairnbrook and brother, Daniel and wife Margie Shaffer,
  Stoystown.  Also survived by a number of dear nieces and nephews and
  in-laws.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at
  Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City and from 10:30 a.m. until time of
  service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Graef Lutheran Church, Cairnbrook.  Pastor
  James McCormick officiating.  Interment, McGregor Cemetery.  In lieu of
  flowers, friends who wish may make contributions in Carol's memory to the
  Somerset Oncology Center, 314 S. Kimberly Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501
