  HOMMEL
  
    Charles A. Hommel Jr., 59, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Somerset, died
  Saturday, Jan. 30, 1993.  He was born in Johnstown.  Was a 1951 graduate of
  Somerset High School.  He attended the University of Pittsburgh and served
  in the U.S. Army when stationed in Germany.  He worked for Kraft-General
  Foods for 34 years, retiring in August 1992.  He was honored in 1988 as
  Kraft-General Foods Territorial Sales Manager of the Year.  A memorial
  service was held Feb. 2 at Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. 
  He is survived by his wife the former Lee Ann Shaffer of Somerset; two
  sons, one daughter and four grandchildren.
