  MARY E. HOOPES
  
    Mary E. (Bess) Hoopes, 91, of 104 N. West St., Minerva, Ohio, died
  Sunday, Nov. 17, 1985 at the Minerva Nursing Home following a
  six-and-a-half year illness.
    She was born July 9, 1894 in Meyersdale, a daughter of William F. and
  Annie (Deist) Hady.
    She was a member of Minerva United Methodist Church and Eastern Star
  Chapter 120.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Frank G., on Oct. 27, 1950;
  three sisters and three brothers.
    She is survived by two stepsons, Loland J. "Bud", of Minerva and Darrell
  A., of Malvern, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Anna May, Mrs. Dorothy Walter,
  both of Johnstown; Mrs. Nell Grof, of Meyersdale; two brothers, George
  Hady, of Meyersdale and James Hady, of California; four step-grandchildren
  and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
    Services were held Nov. 20 at the Bartley Funeral Home with the Rev.
  Joseph O. Glessner officiating.  Interment, East Lawn Cemetery, Minerva.
