  HOOVER
  
  George U. Hoover, 77, Hooversville, died Nov. 29, 1987, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 15, 1910, in Hooversville, son of the late
  Harry and Nellie (Spangler) Hoover.  Survived by widow, the former Edna
  Shaver, and daughter, Mrs. Floyd (JoAnn) Cassidy of Stoystown RD 1, and
  these grandchildren: Mrs. Thomas (Marci) Cosens of Boonsboro, Md.; Mrs.
  Mark (Brandi) Darr, Acme; Scott, married to the former Anne Williams,
  Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. Mark (Beth) Mueller, Lakeside, Calif.; Mrs. Scott
  (Kelly) Vanek, Philadelphia; and Amy of Stoystown RD 1;
  great-grandchildren: Brian Cosens and Brandon and Sarah Cassidy; his twin
  brother, Frank of Hooversville; and sister, Evelyn Hertfelder of Calif. 
  Retired Somerset County coalminer.  Member of Trinity Lutheran Church,
  Hooversville.  Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Gerald L. Myers officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
