  HARLAND H. HOOVER
  
    Harland H. Hoover, 93, died on October 16 in Garden Grove, California.  A
  native of Meyersdale, Mr. Hoover was born here on April 3, 1883, a son of
  John H. and Melissa Landis Hoover. 
    He was employed at the S.C. Hartley Clothing Store here years ago,
  finally settling in California.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Margaret Flick of
  Tarentum.
    He is survived by these children: Harland Hoover Jr., Mrs. Jane Wilde and
  Mrs. Ruth Adams, all of California; five grandchildren and one
  great-grandchild and these sisters: Miss Eva Hoover, Penney Farms, Florida;
  Mrs. Mary H. Blount, Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and Mrs. Grace Baird of
  the Thomas Apartments, Meyersdale.
    Services and burial were in Garden City, California.
