  HERBERT C. HOOVER
  
    Herbert C. Hoover, 69, of Glencoe RD 1, died October 6, 1983 at the
  Veterans Administration Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
    Born in Jennings, Md., he was a son of the late Oliver Hoover and Nancy
  (Bittinger) Hoover.  He was preceded in death by two wives, Virgie Marie
  (Bittinger) Hoover and Sarah V. (Yommer) Hoover.
    A retired janitor for the Saxton Can Company, Mr. Hoover was a veteran of
  World War II and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
    He is survived by one son, Herbert Charles Hoover, Cincinnati, Ohio; two
  daughters, Miss Pauline Hoover and Mrs. Shirley Newman, both of Glencoe RD
  1; a brother, Melvin Hoover, Grantsville, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel
  Randall, Frostburg, Md., and Mrs. Rita McKenzie, Finzel, Md.; and three
  grandsons.
    Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury where
  services were held by the Rev. Paul H. Yoder.  Interment was in the Johnson
  Cemetery, near Frostburg.
