IDA HOOVER

  Mrs. Ida (Hoover) Hoover, 71, died Tuesday night at her home in Garrett after 
a brief illness.  A daughter of John and Lucy (Christner) Hoover, she was born 
on Jan. 28, 1872, in Westmoreland County.  Surviving are two children, Solomon 
Walter and Mrs. Richard Hoover, both of Garrett, and two sisters, Mrs. Jerry 
Phillippi, Black Twp., and Mrs. Zachariah Baker, Garrett.
  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the 
Center Lutheran Church, near Garrett.  Rev. Ellwood Stahl will officiate. 
Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Johnson 
Funeral Home of Berlin.
