Born Oct. 2, 1910 in Garrett, the son of the late Harry and Nora (Cook) Hoover. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice Elaine Hoover; brother, Harry Hoover; sister, Luella Paxton and three infant brothers. Survived by his wife, the former Pauline Rogalla; daughter, Mrs. William (Dorothy Jane) Blough of Boswell; grandson, John William Blough, married to the former Amy Barron. Brother of Harvey Hoover, Edna Walker both of Somerset and Alice Trent of Hubbard, Ohio. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren and former member of Grace United Methodist Church where he held numerous offices. Retired in 1975 from Penelec as a lineman. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Mark S. Bendes officiating. Interment in the Somerset County Memorial Park. Family suggests contributions be made to Somerset County Meals on Wheels, 235 W. Church St., Somerset, PA 15501.
