  JOSEPH L. HOOVER
  
    Joseph L. Hoover, 78, 4 Mill St., Bristol, died March 24, 1981, in
  Bristol.
    He was born May 21, 1902, in Gallitzin, son of Frank and Carrie (Cooney)
  Hoover.  He was preceded in death by parents; wife, former Clara Keith; and
  three sisters and a brother.
    He is survived by these children: Joseph and John, both of Cresson; Mrs.
  Betty Pearson, Mineral Point R.D. 2; Mrs. Ruth Weaver, Edinboro; LeRoy,
  Audubon, N.J.; and Robert L., Galion, Ohio; also nine grandchildren and a
  great-grandchild.  He was a brother of William, Vandergrift; Paul, Altoona;
  Charles, Patton; Mrs. Madeline Vale, Berlin; Mrs. Violet Pentleton, Arcadia;
  and Mrs. Carolyn Stuller and Mrs. Mary Agnes Effinger, both of Cresson.
    Friends were received at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where
  wake service was held.  A mass of Christian Burial was served at St.
  Francis Xavier's Catholic Church, the Rev. Carl Spisak.  Interment, church
  cemetery.
