Born March 31, 1982 in Somerset, he is the son of Randy Hoover of Somerset and Regina Garrett of Ovett, Miss. Preceded in death by stepfather, Charles Garrett, maternal grandfather, Marlyn Mort and paternal grandmother, Margaret Hoover. Also survived by brothers: Joey Garrett of Ovett; Jason Hoover of Shanksville; sisters: Jody Hoover of Fairmont, W. Va.; Angie Lyzbicki of Somerset; Rebkah Garrett of Ovett; maternal grandmother, Betty Mort of Boswell, paternal grandfather, Evan Hoover of Somerset; special friend, Lacey Pohlit of Somerset and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A 2000 graduate of Somerset Area High School, served in the U.S. Army from July 2000 to March 2002. Member of Mountain Field & Stream Hunting Club. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Interment in Weller Cemetery.
