Rev. Roy L. Kinsinger of Grantsville officiated. Interment was in the family cemetery on the Charles Hoover farm, near his home. Louis Hoover was the son of the late Elmira Bittinger and Chancey Hoover, and was born at Bear Hill. He had been to Wheeling, W.Va., to bring his son home on Wednesday, and on Thursday morning, Jan. 11, he suffered a stroke of paralysis, followed by a second stroke within a few days, causing his death. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stella (Stine) Hoover and these sons and daughters, Elmer, Thomas and James W. Hoover, Mrs. Lulu Livengood and Mrs. Eva Wilburn, all of Jennings, Md.; Mrs. Bertha Wilt, Swanton; Mrs. Nora Patton, Bear Creek; Mrs. Mabel Stanton, R.D. 2, Frostburg, and Edna at home; also one sister, Mrs. Irene Butler, New Germany.
