  HOOVER
  
  Maynard A. Hoover, 81, of West Patriot St., Somerset, died Aug. 24, 1984,
  at his residence.  Born March 2, 1903, in Somerset Township, son of the
  late Edward and Josephine (Benford) Hoover.  Survived by his wife, the
  former Rosanna Saylor, and two daughters: Mrs. Stewart (Betty) Stahl,
  Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Jesse (Helen) Young, Dearborn, Mich.; six grandchildren
  and nine great-grandchildren.  Member of the First United Methodist Church
  and Berean Sunday School Class; Somerset Lodge I.O.O.F.; and the Rural
  Letter Carriers Association.  He retired from the Somerset Post Office
  after 43 years of service.  Death ended the marriage of 59 years.  Friends
  will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Monday at 2
  p.m., the Rev. Percy Ellenberger officiating.  Interment, St. John Cemetery.
