  HOOVER
  
  Merle E. W. Hoover, 68, of Meyersdale, died Dec. 17, 1977, in West Penn
  Hospital in Pittsburgh.  He was born July 4, 1909, in Garrett, a son of the
  late Ellis and Leora (Burkholder) Hoover.  He is survived by his widow,
  Hilda Deist; and by these children: John, Miss Doris, Mrs. Linda Bornyah
  and Mrs. Marie Patton, all of Meyersdale; and Mrs. Emily McKenzie of Gray,
  and nine grandchildren.  He was a brother of Mrs. Margaret Deal and Mrs.
  Clara Ogline, both of Dradenton, Fla.  Friends are being received at the
  Leckemby Funeral Home in Meyersdale where services will be held Tuesday at
  2 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Weneck officiating.  Interment, Fritz Cemetery.
