Hoover, 87, of Garrett, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center, Downtown Campus in Johnstown. Born July 5, 1918 in Garrett, she was the daughter of the late Albert B. and Margaret (Romesberg) Judy. Also preceded in death by three sisters: Charlotte Thompson, Emaline Baughman, and Ivadene Clay. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Norval R. Hoover and three children: Michael Hoover, Salix; Brent Hoover, Garrett; and Judy, wife of Donald Younkin, Garrett; five grandchildren: Clete Hoover, who she helped raise, Tacy Wallizer, Tisha Wright, Stuart Younkin, and Spencer Younkin; and five great-grandchildren. She was a sister of: Wilma Cook, and Albert D. Judy, both of Garrett. Regina was a member of the Garrett United Methodist Church. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Joseph Onder officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
