SARA ELIZABETH HOOVER

  Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Hoover, 85, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John 
Wilburn, Jennings, Md., Friday, September 23, after a lingering illness.
  She was born August 20, 1864 at Bittinger, Md., the daughter of John and Mary 
(Spiker) Bittinger.  Her husband, Charles Hoover, died in 1935 at the age of 75.  
She was a member of the Church of God of Manadier Ridge.
  Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Wilburn, are a brother, Newton Bittinger 
of Jennings, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Albright of near Confluence; nine 
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at the Wilburn home Sunday afternoon the Rev. W. E. 
Plummer of the Church of God, Frostburg, officiating.  Interment was made in the 
family lot in the Hoover cemetery near Jennings.
