Born in Jennings, Md., July 30, 1902, he was a son of the late Daniel and Loretta (Miller) Hoover. Mr. Hoover was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Accident Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, the former Lucinda Hare; a son, Homer Hoover, Cresaptown; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Sloan, Springfield, Va.; also nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Velona Brazelton, Mrs. Pearl Miller and Mrs. Elva Murphy, all of Akron, Ohio. Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon in Zion Lutheran Church, Accident, with the Rev. Fred Illic officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republic, December 4, 1975 [H1538]
