  HORCHNER
  
    H. Andrew Horchner, 73, of Somerset, formerly of Meyersdale, died Jan.
  22, 1988, in Meyersdale Community Hospital.  He was born March 6, 1914, in
  Larimer Township, a son of the late Andrew F. and Nellie (Carpenter)
  Horchner.  Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Velma I. Johnson,
  and a son, Andrew Frantz Horchner.  Survived by a son, Dale A. of
  Sacramento, Cal.; a daughter, Gay E. Hochner of Somerset; three
  grandchildren; and a dear friend, Mary Chaconas, Glencoe RD 1.  A brother of
  Ray K., Hagerstown, Md.; Robert A., Lima, Ohio; and Mrs. Naomi Dunnick, Red
  Lion, Pa.  Member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale.  He was a merchant
  in Meyersdale for 30 years.  He was Somerset County Register of Wills for 20
  years.  Past president and district governor Meyersdale Rotary Club.  Former
  member of Meyersdale School Board and Meyersdale Community Hospital Board
  of Directors.  Member of: Lodge 554 F&AM Jaffa Temple, Altoona; Harrisburg
  Consistory, Scottish Rite and he was active in the Somerset County
  Republican Party.  Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will
  be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. David Fetter officiating.
  Interment, Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may
  be made to the Meyersdale Community Hospital or the Zion Lutheran Church.
