Born Jan. 11, 1913, in Jefferson Township, Somerset County. Son of the late Harry Franklin and Annie Florence (Forney) Horner. Also preceded in death by three sisters, Stella, Elsie and Gladys Horner. Survived by sisters Mrs. Alice Zimmerman and Mrs. Mary Kimmel, both of Somerset RD 3; and brothers Paul W. "Pete" Horner, Friedens RD 2; Clark W. Horner, Sipesville; and Dean E. Horner, Somerset RD 3. Member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Retired farmer. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, European Theatre. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dwight A. Huseman officiating. No viewing at the church. Interment, Casebeer Cemetery.
