Born June 27, 1920, he is the son of the late Harry and Annie (Forney) Horner. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charlie Horner; half sister, Alice Zimmerman, and brother, Dean Horner. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois (Adams) Horner; children ,Linda Hollis, Somerset, Shirley Miller, Somerset, Ronald Horner, Friedens, and Robert Horner, married to Ruthie (Landis), Central City; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, 10 step great- grandchildren, brother Pete Horner, and sister Mary Kimmel. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1982. He loved to hunt, trap, and fish and was a loyal member of the Sipesville Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed spending time with his family and also with his hound dog, Jake. He was a patient of Windber Hospice. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sipesville Church of the Brethren following an hour of visitation. The Rev. Chuck Statler officiating. Interment Sipesville Cemetery.
