Horner, 89, of East Main Street, Somerset, died Feb. 22, 1980, in Veterans Hospital, Altoona. Born Feb. 14, 1891, in Westmoreland County, a son of William J. and Ellen (Hay) Horner. Preceded in death by parents and one sister, Elsie Price. Survived by sister, Ida Neil, and one nephew, Elvin Neil, both of Bethel Park, Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of World War I, member of Somerset Barracks No. 3218, Veterans of World War I of USA, and Sweet Sixties. Friends are being received in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Richard H. Shellenberger officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. Daily American, February 25, 1980 [H1571]
