Horner, 66, of Jennerstown died May 9 in Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. He was born November 29, 1907, in Jenner Township the son of Wesley and Minnie V. Rhoads Horner. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, the former Pearl Friedline; a brother Henry Horner; and a stepson, William Letcher Shank. He is survived by his widow, the former Villa Letcher Shank; two daughters, Angean, wife of Warren Beener, Hollsopple RD 1; Bonnie Lou, wife of Ray Peterson, RD 2, Boswell; a step-daughter Lou Ann, wife of George Gore, Boswell RD 1; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Mr. Horner was a barber in Jennerstown for 44 years, was former Mayor of Jennerstown, and was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church where he served several years on the church council. Friends were received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny Street, Boswell, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with Reverend George A. Clark officiating. Interment will be in Somerset County Memorial Park.
