Horner, 80, 615 Raritan Road, Clark, N.J., formerly of Boswell, died Aug 17, 1994, at home. Born Dec. 24, 1913, in Boswell, son of Joseph F. and Bertha A. (Friedline) Horner. Preceded in death by parents and brothers: Owen T. "Red," Kenneth C. and Ernest D. Survived by wife, the former Louise (Mahnken), and these children: Nancy H. White, Newport, R.I.; William, Clark, N.J., and Dr. Carol L., Des Moines, Iowa; also three grandchildren: Mark, Alexander and Victoria. Brother of Ethel Hill, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Martha Thornton, Mineral Point, Miriam Shomo, Johnstown, and Ada Westerman, Bricktown, N.J. Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clark; Union County Heart Association and Clark Kiwanis. A 1931 graduate of Boswell High School, and a 1936 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster. Army veteran of World War II and former owner of Horner's Duplicating Company, Elizabeth, N.J. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Edward N. Corneilson officiating. Interment, St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Jenner Township.
