  HORNER
  
    Harold J. Horner, 88, of Somerset, formerly of Stoystown, died July 15,
  2003 at Patriot Manor.  Born Nov. 23, 1914 in Stoystown, he was the son of
  Harry O. and Mary Elizabeth (Crist) Horner.  Preceded in death by his
  parents and a brother Clarence.  Survived by his wife of 61 years the former
  Sara Fritz, son Douglas F. married to the former Nancy Shobe, Cabin W. Va.;
  granddaughter Christina and husband Steven Sawyer, Beckley, W.Va.;
  great-grandsons, Patrick and Jonathan Sawyer; sister Sarah Ogline,
  Stoystown; nephews Carl and Dale Ogline, and Allen and Elaine Fritz.  He was
  a retired truck driver for the Somerset Foundry.  Member of Horner Lutheran
  Church, Stoystown, member and Past Master of Somerset Lodge 358 F & AM 32nd
  degree Harrisburg Consistory.  Graduate of the former Boswell High School
  class of 1934. Enjoyed bowling, golf, and reading.  Family will receive
  friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday with Masonic services at 7:30
  p.m. at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday with Rev. James A. McCormick Jr. officiating.  Interment,
  Horner-Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
