Horner, 70, Shippensburg, formerly of Stoystown, died Feb. 27, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1928, in Hooversville, son of Levi and Lottie (Shaffer) Horner. Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Velma (Roland) Horner; and sister, Betty Phillippi. Survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Miriam Mostoller and these children: Larry, married to former Karen Blough, Mercersburg; Richard, Hagerstown; Linda, married to Paul Koper, Irwin; Roxanne, Shippensburg; and Kathy, married to Daniel Barnhart, Waynesboro; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of Clyde Horner, Tionesta, and Mildred Stotler, Florida. Employed at Cressler's Marketplace, Shippensburg. Retired from B.M.Y., York. Former employee of Sanitary Dairy, Johnstown, and Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove. Member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Shippensburg, Quemahoning Ridge Runners Hunting Camp and AARP. Former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown. Rev. Bonnie B. Hoffman and Rev. Robert Yankovitz. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
