(Mahnken) Horner, 86, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Clark, N.J., died Jan. 16, 2003 at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines. Preceded in death by husband, Franklin E. Horner, Aug. 17, 1994, formerly of Boswell. Survived by son, William J. Horner, Clark, N.J.; daughter Dr. Carol L. Horner, Des Moines, Iowa, with whom she resided the past five years; stepdaughter Nancy J. White, Newport, R.I.; grandchildren William J. Horner and Cassandra M. Horner; step-grandchildren Bruce C. Wells, Mark H. Simpson, Alexander W. White and Victoria White; and sister Dorothy Diou of Florida. Served in the US Navy as Wave in World War II. Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clark, N.J., the Ladies Guild of the church and the A.A.R.P. Visitation was held Sunday and funeral services Monday in New Jersey. Friends and family will meet at Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, from 10:30 until the time of committal service at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev.
